The Countdown to BlogHer Begins
I know plenty of folks have been counting down to BlogHer for weeks (or months) now, but I was so preoccupied with vacation that I couldn’t devote my brain to freaking out over BlogHer. Now that I’m back from vacation, I’m fully prepared to freak out.
For the majority of people who read my blog who now have now idea what I’m talking about, let me back up. BlogHer is a conference for women who blog and it is being held in New York this year in early August. I actually signed up to go back in mid-March because tickets had just sold out and I was able to find someone who needed to get rid of an early-bird ticket. I found super cheap ($2.50 round trip) bus fare, three roommates to split the cost, and have been socking away money ever since.
Being the Type-A personality that I am, I’ve been googling anything BlogHer related to learn more. What to pack? What to wear? What’s it really like? I should also point out that I am pretty intensely introverted, so the fact that I’m going to a conference where I know no one is a pretty major deal for me.
Since today’s assignment for the SITS ProBlogger Challenge is to make a list post, I thought I’d share some of the pre-BlogHer posts/info that I’ve found most helpful (in no particular order).

Ten Tips for Getting Through BlogHer ’10 from Table for Five
I love anyone who gives me permission to actually slow down and recharge. It’s easy to always be “go, go, go” in a conference setting. That’s a recipe for disaster for me, so it’s nice to know others need a little quiet time too.
