Bink’s Storybook
I’ve been kind of obsessed with the idea of making custom books for Bink. For his first Christmas, we ordered him an adorable book from Frecklebox with his name featured through out it and I loved it. I seem to hoard photo book credits from Shutterfly and Snapfish, so I thought I’d start with a book about animals from our trip to the zoo.
I’d planned on making it more about the animals with their names, kind of just a picture book. Well, somehow through the glass and nets and cages, I didn’t get great animal pictures. I did, however, get great Bink pictures. So I changed my plan and made a storybook about our trip.

Have you ever tried out Shutterfly, Snapfish, or any of the other photo book sites? Which is your favorite? I’m always looking for new ones to try out!

What a lovely idea. I’ve looked at so many of the photo book sites, and I’d love to do one for my little man. The only one I’ve tried was Wolf Camera’s, for Christmas last year, and I really didn’t like the way theirs were done. The books themselves were made okay, but I didn’t think the quality of the print job was good, and the folks at the store I went to weren’t at all helpful.

I’ve done hardback books with Shutterfly, MyPublisher, and Winkflash. I’ll pretty much test out any site to see, especially if they are doing a sale. My favorite for stunningly quality is MyPublisher, but they are pricey (we did our wedding albums with them). My favorite for good quality at an inexpensive price is Winkflash. They run flat-rate book sales, so you can make a book up to 100 pages for the base price. I make books up ahead of time and wait for that sale because it’s so great. Shutterfly is in between in price and very good quality.
