Bink’s Birthday Present

I’ve been racking my brain about what to get Bink for his first birthday.  We’ve bought him a couple of toys, but I wanted something we could hold on to, something special to remember his first birthday.

I created a really simple movie poster for him, in the same theme as his party.  I ordered it from Shutterfly and it should be here later this week.  I’ll get a cute frame from a craft store to finish it off.

The other project I have going for his birthday is a custom growth chart. I saw a super cute one in a magazine and I’m going to try to create something similar.  It’s basically a long piece of wood painted however you want with the feet and inches marked off, hanging from a ribbon.  I like that it can be taken with us when we move to a new house (years from now).  Once I get it going, I’ll take some pictures.
